About Me.
I’m Alicia, a Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Music Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and, most importantly, a human being. My own lived experiences and mental health journey are what first led me to this work, and they continue to shape how I show up as both a therapist and supervisor. I identify with the concept of the “wounded healer,” and I hold that identity with humility, honesty, and deep respect for the healing process.
Having experienced life from both sides of the therapeutic relationship, as both a client and a care provider, I understand how vulnerable it can feel to sit in either chair. Through witnessing the ways the mental health system can sometimes place people into one-size-fits-all boxes, I’ve come to deeply value creativity, inner wisdom, humour, authenticity, and integrative approaches in therapy, supervision, and everyday life.
Over the past near-decade, I’ve had the privilege of working across private practice, inpatient care, community mental health, and educational settings alongside people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. No matter the setting, I strive to show up as a real person first, leading with curiosity, compassion, and genuine human connection.
Outside of my work, I deeply value spending time with the people I love, going on adventures, eating good food, caring for my body and mind, and engaging in creative expression.
